The word “providence” has layered meaning, stemming from religious text, but now used more broadly.

God’s Plan: It often implies a larger, overarching plan that God is working towards, even if individual human actions seem random or chaotic.
Care and Protection: Providence suggests God’s caring attention to humanity and his protection of those who are faithful.

Chance or Accident: It can also describe something that happens by chance or accident, particularly if the outcome is favorable.
