The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ: Section VI: Vau: Lif... | Sacred Texts Archive
- One day as Jesus stood beside the Ganges busy with his work, a caravan, returning from the West, drew near.
- And one, approaching Jesus, said, We come to you from your native land and bring unwelcome news.
- Your father is no more on earth ๐ชฆ; your mother grieves ๐ญ; and none can comfort her โ๏ธ. She wonders ๐ง whether you are still alive ๐ท or not; she longs to see you once again ๐๏ธ.
- And Jesus bowed his head in silent thought; and then he wrote. Of what this is the sum:
- โMy mother, noblest of the womankind; A man just from my native land has brought me word that father is no more in flesh, and that you grieve, and are disconsolate.โ ๐
- โMy mother, all is well; is well for father and is well for you.โ
- โHis work in this earth-round is done, and it is nobly done.โ
- โIn all the walks of life men cannot charge him with deceit, dishonesty, nor wrong intent.โ
- โHere in this round he finished many heavy tasks, and he has gone from hence prepared to solve the problems of the round of soul.โ ๐๏ธ
- โOur Father-God is with him there, as he was with him here; and there his angel guards ๐ his footsteps ๐ฃ lest he goes astray.โ
- โWhy should we weep? Tears cannot conquer grief.โ
- โThe plane of grief is idleness ๐งโโ๏ธ; the busy soul ๐โโ๏ธ can never grieve; it has no time โณ for grief.
- โWhen grief come trooping through the heart ๐ซ, just lose yourself ๐บ๏ธ; plunge deep into the ministry of love โค๏ธ, and grief is not.โ
- โYours is a ministry of love, and all the world ๐ is calling out for love. โฅ๏ธโ
- โThen let the past go with the past โช; rise ๐๏ธ from the cares of carnal ๐ค things and give your life for those who live. ๐คฒโ
- โAnd if you lose your life in serving life ๐คฒ you will sure to find ๐ in it the morning sun โ๏ธ, the evening dews ๐ง, in song of bird ๐ฆข, in flowers ๐ฎ, and in the stars of night ๐ .โ
- โIn just a little while your problems of this earth-round ๐ will be solved โ
; and when your sums are all worked ๐ out it will be pleasure unalloyed for you to enter โ๏ธ wider fields of usefulness, to solve the greater problems of the soul. ๐ฅโ
- โStrive, then, to be content ๐คซ, and I will come to you some day and bring you richer gifts than gold or precious stones. โพ๏ธโ
